French Braids & a Green Crayon

So my 2nd attempt at french braids isnt too shabby?!?!... between the help of YouTube and my community group last night, I can now french braid for the 1st time in my life.  This was definitely on my bucket list. Haha. Charlotte watched 2 episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I worked on her hair. Hot Diggity Dog! Lol

Later this morning we went over to Charlie's house. On the way there, Charlotte saw that it was cloudy out and kept pointing to the sky, saying "What's wrong with sky, Mommy?" "It's scary. It's cold. It's sad." I think it really bothered her the sun wasn't out. She is such an Arizona Girl!!! When we drove into Charlie's neighborhood, C said over and over "Charlie's house YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!!!" Then she squealed and giggled and hugged and kissed the book she was reading. Charlotte loves her friend, Charlie so much!
Dancing and balancing on the line at Charlie's house.
Playing tea party at the table. C loved the hanging hearts.
Making stickers books.
 Picking stickers
B Man watching the girls. So I forgot B Man's pacifier and Vicki had one unused one to offer to B Man. I don't think he cared that it was PINK! I think the picture is so funny... little boy with a pink pacifier. Lol
The princesses with their crowns and necklaces having a Valentine's tea party.
Eating a scone
And it wouldn't be a successful play date without a child being drawn on?!?! Or an eaten green crayon?!?!Not sure how this happened but it was pretty funny to discover his whole mouth covered in GREEN. Im sure he didn't care. B Man is pretty un-phased by it, look at my happy-go-lucky guy.

How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You?

So it was my turn to host our craft activity play date with the girls. We read one of Charlotte's favorite books right now, "How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You?". I created a dinosaur Do-a-Dot art printable for them to have fun with. I love watching these two interact, they really have a great time together. They also played Elefun and made a cute Valentine card for their Daddys.

The finished product.
These photos were taken a while ago. These silly girls absolutely LOVE to dress up together. Cutie Pies!
 Dancing around the living room.
Charlie has the cutest look on her face!
I have so much fun with these 2 girly girls!!!

Be Mine, Valentine!

Charlotte brushing her teeth for the very first time all by herself.
First braid, she finally has enough hair to make a braid!
BIG girl!
Look at her smiling so proud at herself.
B Man playing with his sister's plastic red lipstick, oh boy.
C coloring her Valentines cards for friends and family,
and painting,
and placing Valentine's stickers in just the right spot.
The finished product (outside)
C is obsessed with "Marrmaid" or Disney's The Little Mermaid, she sings Part of Your World
ALL. DAY. LONG.
EVERYDAY.
So I thought it was fitting for her card to say on the front
"I LOVE that YOU are "Part of My World!"
Happy Valentine's Day!
Love,
Charlotte

More Valentine's fun...

We have been reading Valentine's type books lately. Charlotte's favorite is How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You? This book is adorable, the pictures are big and the story is short. The words rhyme together and the pace is perfect for Little Miss Charlotte. When I'm done reading to her she will pick up the book and start reading in her babble. So sweet.

We also played a heart matching game, she is really into matching things lately. She names all the colors too.
Practicing her jumping skills over the hearts. Lol
Back to work at matching her hearts together. A few times she fussed and fussed over the hearts not lining up perfectly, oh. my. goodness. I kept reassuring her it was okay and that her hearts looked pretty.  I think she is a perfectionist... like me. :(

Playdough Tray with a Valentine's spin.
We made "chocolates" out of brown playdoh...she loved this and would do it over and over again.
And heart shaped glasses.
Charlotte wanted to take some pictures of "Mistor Tato Head"
and another of course of "Bea-air".

C also decorated cookies with sprinkles. She LOVED this!
 "Wanta sprinkle Mommy?"
 All done!
She was so proud of her sprinkle skills.
MMMMMmmmm!
